Trowbridge Slate Diamonds

I have now had delivery of all the slate diamonds from Delabole, they have sand blasted my designs into their very fine slate.

These are to be set into five special houses on the new estate in Trowbridge.  I am now to start the bronze beer caps for the trail around the estate, all looking good.

There is one design set in the middle with a blank either side.  They are 440mm x 270mm.

Trowbridge Centenary Benches Part 2

The benches have been coming along pretty well now, just need some cross beams added to the uprights, a good oil and all is good.

These benches of which there are five will have laser etched on the seat the centenary speech by the son of Thomas Usher recalling the life of his father and founder of the Usher's Brewery.  The speech is a great text of historical value.  These benches will inhabit a quiet square within the new estate.

Oh and these boys can also repair glasses, as mine fell apart whilst

watching in awe.

It is always good working with Custom Plastics, so far any problem I have had they have found a working way around, they really do a great job, based in Wellington as well. Brilliant, thank you Brian and Martin.

Ceramic House Numbers

The Trowbridge Brewery Trail is going well.
The first lot of house numbers have been sent off to be fitted here is
Number 1.
To my initial design but then allowing the ceramicists to have their own artistic flourish, these have been made by
a very good practise in Wiveliscombe 'Fairfax and Dove'  comprising of Sara Fairfax and Jo Dove, they have 79 to produce altogether and are well on there way.
More pictures of numbers will follow as they are all individual in pattern and colour.

New Book, Lacewing and Trowbridge latest

Yesterday I installed Lacewing and very proudly it sits in its new wet environment.

On wednesday I took samples to Cheltenham for the Trowbridge job and all was terrific there as they loved all the samples so all systems go for the new year as the production team take over.

Now to settle back for a few days into the readiness of christmas and the ensuing madness that produces, some say the end of the world, some just say that is a euphemism for christmas!!



Heres to a brilliant 2013 and those chinks of light, maybe some sun, maybe less rain, yes to more experimentation and music, more instruments in the pipeline, hopefully more collaborations and some cracking venues.

Trowbridge et al

The job in Trowbridge has started.  A brewery trail for a new housing estate on the site of the old Ushers bottling plant.  It might not sound much but rather wonderfully it is. The client is very forward thinking and the opportunites to create something of value here is very good, at the moment I am designing various samples for a meeting later in december and then hopefully production can begin in the new year.

The various gigs have all gone well and I am creating a new music room at home.

River's wood has been very wet and not too much activity to date.
